The Mohawk Valley Toastmasters Club celebrated its 50th anniversary as a club in 2003 -many years of improving communication skills for members in the Utica-Rome area.

Our present membership is over 25 people drawing expertise from professional speaking to health care to nursing home management to massage.  So our members not only gain the opportunity to improve their communication skills, they also get exposed to diverse ideas through the speeches of other members.

Mohawk Valley Toastmasters has a nice balance between seasoned speakers, members in the club less than two years, and new members.  We all share the common goal of improving our communication skills through practice and the support of the other members. 

The Utica-Rome area is fortunate to have not only have the Mohawk Valley Toastmasters but also clubs at Utica National and Bank of America ( formerly Fleet Bank).  Our club is very proud to be a sponsoring club in 2004 for Roman Orators with meeting at NYSTEC located in the Griffiss Technology Park.
